A Helper for All Occasions

"And I will ask the Father,

and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever

-- the Spirit of truth.

The world cannot accept him,

because it neither sees him nor knows him.

But you know him,

for he lives with you and will be in you.

I will not leave you as orphans;

I will come to you.

The power of the imagination

- it’s what has created the greatest inventions of all time,

the most heart-warming stories,

and the solutions to countless everyday problems.

However,

our imaginations also can be a source of great trouble

especially when they become entangled

with thoughts of temptation.

However,

God has set a watchman over our lives

- the Holy Spirit.

Whenever we stray from God’s plan,

the Holy Spirit is committed to sounding a warning.

Jesus was keenly aware of the power of temptation.

He knew that once He was gone,

His disciples would face times of discouragement

and feelings of hopelessness.

This is why He told His followers,

"And I will ask the Father,

and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever

-- the Spirit of truth.

The world cannot accept him,

because it neither sees him nor knows him.

But you know him,

for he lives with you and will be in you."

(John 14:16-17).

There is no way to live this life separate from God.

There are too many heartaches,

decisions,

and struggles placed along the way.

We need Christ’s life within us.

This is where the promise of His Spirit

brings an eternal hope to our souls.

Because God fulfills every promise perfectly,

we know that when we pray,

He hears us.

He also provides the help and wisdom we need

to get through every circumstance of life.

God is aware of your deepest need.

His Spirit will comfort you as you draw near to Him.
